Hello!

Welcome to Eshet Chayil - a space for ordinary women with ordinary lives who want more in their walk with the Lord.

The Bible is full of stories of women like this. Think Sarah, Ruth, Rahab, Esther, Hannah, Miriam, Mary. Although they lived in very different times from us, they still had homes to keep, families to raise, work to do. Not so different from us really.

What they all had in common though, was that they each responded in faith to God's call. And as they did so, they saw Him move in miraculous ways: babies conceived in old age, kingdoms spared from genocide, the Son of God conceived by the Holy Spirit!

And what's exciting is that God invites each of us to do the same today.

We may not think that our lives are anything special, but when we realise that we serve the same God who wants to work in and through our lives just as He did in theirs, we begin to discover what it means to be a 'mighty woman of valour' - an 'Eshet Chayil'.

A woman who trusts God fully, obeys courageously and lives wholeheartedly for Him.

At this moment in time, you might not feel like a mighty woman of valour. In fact, very often, in the midst of life - motherhood - marriage - work - parenting - friendship - we feel far from this description.

But, as these women show us, being a mighty woman of valour isn't dependent on how straightforward your life is, how easy your circumstances are or how equipped you feel for the task. It runs much much deeper than this and is primarily about how much we let God into our day-to-day moments, allowing Him to change and mold us.

This blog is all about encouraging you on that journey to become a woman who says yes to God, steps into what He has for you and sees Him move in your life.

My prayer is that, as you read these posts, you will be challenged, encouraged and equipped to journey on this exciting path of becoming an 'Eshet Chayil'!
